Angel Tree
The Angel Tree program is geared toward offering families in need the chance to supply holiday cheer their children.

Book Club
CCSO Club members read a selected book then meet each month to talk about it.  This is a fun way to get together and meet other readers.

Breakfast with Santa
An event for all ages.  Have breakfast with Santa and have a lot of fun!

BUNKO
BUNKO night is held on the 4th Monday of each month. It's not just a game but an excuse to gather with neighbors, chat, snack and have a girls night out on a regular basis.  The dice game seats four to a table that constantly change -- thus allowing you to meet everyone in the room. The cost is $5.00 with prizes awarded at the end.

The Caper Newsletter
The Caper is published once a month from September through May.  After it is printed, volunteers are needed to deliver it to CCSO members living in your neighborhood. The Caper has other community input possiblities:

"Ask the Captain" pose a question for Captain Abel, he will either answer the question for you or find someone who can.

Occasionally we will be looking for information to share with our memebers, from good books to natural cleaning methods.

The possibilities are limitless!

Easter Eggstravaganza
Meet the Easter Bunny, Easter Egg Hunt for all ages, crafts and prizes.

Executive Board Meetings
These are held the first Monday of the month, usually at an exec members house.  These meetings are to get ready for the General Meeting coming the following Monday.

General Meeting Hostess
Our monthly meetings take place on the 2nd Monday of each month at the Chief's Mess.  You get a budget to cover your costs – pick any theme or activity you desire.

Gourmet/Dinner Club
This club is a wonderful opportunity for Moms and Dads to get together with other adults and enjoy the foods they might not get a chance to experience. The event can either be a pot luck or totally done in turn.

Family Nights at the Crosswinds
This event is run by MWR but funded and in need of help from CCSO members.  This is a night where families can go and have fun together.  Well worth the time to come and have fun and give back to our community.

Hospitality
This committee provides meals to military families who recently had a baby or have a member of the immediate family in the hospital.  You can provide a home cooked meal or order takeout.

This committee also coordinates representatives to welcome new families to the base.

Ice Cream Social
Every summer the CCSO puts on an ice cream social for the entire base community.  This event kicks off the CCSO’s year and serves as our annual membership drive.

Installation Dinner
This spring time dinner says goodbye to last year's CCSO Board Members and hello to the new year's CCSO members.  It is an excellent event for old and new CCSO memebers to meet and form lasting relationships.

Otis Attic Thrift Store
This committee is responsible for overseeing the Otis Attic, the on-base thrift store open to people with access to the base.  It is run by a team of dedicated volunteers, but additional store workers are always needed.  Available shifts are Wednesdays or Saturdays from 9:00am to 12:00 noon or 12:00 noon to 2:00pm.  Training is provided.  You are welcome to bring your children to work with you.  We are always looking for help with other tasks too, like cleaning, yard work and running donations to donation sites.

This activity is an easy, fun, and inexpensive way to meet new people by secretly giving a gift to your appointed pal once a month.  This activity ends with a reveal party in late spring.

Thanksgiving Baskets
This committee coordinates the gathering of food donations and creating food baskets for families in need of holiday relief.

Witch's Kitchen
This event works with the Chief's Assoc. Haunted House on Halloween.  The CCSO offers a "younger kid friendly" haunted house next door to it's scarier counterpart.  Lots, and lots of fun for everyone.

Yard of the Month
The Yard of the Month commitee judges family yards in base housing on the first week of the month.  You do not have to be a CCSO Member to win.   All units in base housing are eligible.  Holiday competitions are also held and judged in the latter part of October and December.
